Players to target & players to avoid

Players to Avoid

  1. Tom Brady: Bad offensive line, 44 years old. Brady is the GOAT, but for this season he isn’t a safe option for Fantasy Football.
  2. Deebo Samuel: He is probably my favorite player in the league, but with his on-and-off soft issues injuries combined with Trey Lance being the starting QB this season, I would pass on him unless he drops past the first 2 ½ rounds.
  3. David Montgomery: The Bears have a bad WR group, terrible offensive line, and a good young running back playing behind him. These are why I do not trust Montgomery, especially where his ADP is.

Players to Target

  1. Mark Andrews/Travis Kelce: I do not go a single draft without grabbing one of these two. I do not trust anyone after them and nothing is worse than getting 5 points a week at the Tight End position.
  2. AJ Dillon: With wide receivers Davante Adams and MVS leaving, the Packers and Aaron Rodgers may look to utilize the run game more this season. I believe starting running back Aaron Jones will see more work as a receiver, both out of the backfield and out of the slot. That leaves the running duties and goal-line work to AJ Dillon. Dillon is also a solid pass catcher who could see a couple of targets a game, which is a plus in .5 PPR or full PPR.
  3. Jaylen Waddle: Yes, he has been dealing with a mysterious injury this off-season. But I think him being held out is more of a precaution because Kyle Shannahan’s predecessor Mike McDaniel knows what type of weapon he has at his disposal. I think Jaylen Waddle will be the Dolphin’s version of Deebo Samuel. No doubt Tyreek Hill will be WR1 in Miami for receiving yards, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Waddle get utilized heavily in the red zone and as a check-down option for Tua. With fragile Edmunds and Mosert as the running backs, don’t be surprised to see Waddle used as a “wide back.” Waddle could be in for an 85 catch/1200 total yard/10 TD season.
